Minority Health and Health Disparities International Health Training Program – Accra, Ghana

  • Spearheaded a data surveillance site for maternal and children’s health in Ghana and data protocol that can be followed for future projects when conducting research.

  • Coordinated over 30 key stakeholder interviews with community health leaders in Ghana to gain insight on potential barriers of data collection and issued a survey to over 200 pregnant women.

  • Discovered substantial connections between the demographic health data and psychosocial factors that affect birth outcomes of urban women in Accra, Ghana.
